These Terms govern your use of Jobab ("the Service"), operated by [Jobab Legal Entity Name] ("Jobab", "we", "us"). By using the Service you agree to these Terms.
Draft notice
This document is a starting template drafted by the founder. Have a qualified Bangladeshi lawyer review before going live with paying merchants. Specific clauses (limitation of liability, jurisdiction, tax treatment) need local-law calibration.
1. Who can use Jobab
You may use Jobab if you operate a legitimate retail or service business in Bangladesh that wants AI assistance handling customer messages on Facebook, Instagram, or WhatsApp.
You must:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Have legal authority to bind the business you represent
- Comply with Meta's Platform Terms and the laws of Bangladesh
- Have a Facebook Page, Instagram Business Account, or WhatsApp Business Account you own or are authorised to manage
You may not use Jobab for: adult content, gambling, illegal goods, political campaigning, harassment, spam, or any purpose Meta's policies prohibit.
2. Your account
You're responsible for:
- Keeping your login credentials secure
- All activity under your account
- Telling us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access
- Ensuring everyone you invite (team members, agents) follows these Terms
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, abuse the Service, or if your use puts Jobab at risk with Meta or any other third party.
3. How Jobab works (in plain language)
Jobab connects to your Facebook / Instagram / WhatsApp account via OAuth and acts on your behalf:
- Reads incoming customer messages
- Generates AI replies in Bangla, Banglish, or English
- Looks up products in your catalog
- Records orders and payment status
- Sends replies via Meta's official APIs
- Hands off conversations to you when AI confidence is low or a complaint is detected
You retain full control. You can take over any conversation, disable the AI, or disconnect a page at any time.
4. What Jobab is NOT responsible for
Jobab is a tool that helps you communicate with your customers. We are not the seller of any product or the provider of any service to your customers. Specifically:
- Jobab does not guarantee the accuracy of every AI reply. You are responsible for reviewing and correcting AI output.
- Jobab does not fulfil orders, ship products, or collect payment from your customers. Those remain your obligations.
- Jobab does not warrant that Meta will not change its rules in ways that affect functionality. If Meta deprecates an API we use, we'll notify you and work to migrate quickly.
- Jobab does not represent that the AI will increase your revenue or reduce your workload by any specific amount.
5. Pricing and payment
Subscription plans, current pricing, and conversation limits are listed at [pricing page URL]. We may change pricing with 30 days' written notice sent to the email on your account.
You authorise us to charge your selected payment method (card, bKash, or bank transfer) on the billing date of each cycle (monthly or annual).
WhatsApp message templates billed by Meta are passed through at cost + a small administration fee disclosed at the time of activation.
Currency: subscription fees are in Bangladeshi Taka (BDT). USD equivalents shown elsewhere are for reference only.
6. Free trial
New accounts get 14 days of free Service. No card required to start. After 14 days you must add a payment method to continue. We will email you 3 days before the trial ends.
7. Cancellation and refunds
You may cancel at any time from your dashboard or by emailing hello@jobab.com.
Refund policy is at [refund policy link]. In short: monthly plans are non-refundable for the current month but renew at your choice; annual plans are refundable pro-rata within the first 30 days.
When you cancel:
- The AI stops replying to your customers at the end of the current billing cycle
- We retain your data for 30 days in case you reactivate
- After 30 days, conversation history is deleted in line with our Privacy Policy
- You may export your data at any time before deletion
8. Your content and data
You retain ownership of:
- Your customer conversation data
- Your product catalog
- Your team's internal notes
- All other content you upload or generate through the Service
You grant Jobab a limited licence to process this data solely to provide the Service — for example, sending replies, storing message history, training nothing on your data without explicit opt-in consent.
We do not sell, share, or use your data for advertising. See the Privacy Policy for full details.
9. Compliance with Meta
You are responsible for:
- Disclosing AI use to your customers where required by Meta policy
- Not using Jobab to send unsolicited messages (cold DMs)
- Not impersonating Meta employees or other businesses
- Removing any content Meta requires you to remove
Jobab follows Meta's Platform Terms and the rules described in docs/start-here/3-meta-rules-simple.md. If your usage causes Meta to suspend our developer account, we may suspend your account to protect the Service.
10. Acceptable use
You will not:
- Use Jobab to send spam, scams, or harassment
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the AI models
- Resell or sublicence Jobab to third parties without our written consent
- Use the Service in a way that exceeds reasonable rate limits or threatens our infrastructure
- Use the Service to process payment card data directly (we don't store or transmit card data; use bKash / Stripe / approved providers)
11. Service availability
We aim for 99.5% monthly uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Planned maintenance will be announced at least 48 hours in advance via email and the status page.
If a Meta API outage prevents the Service from working, Jobab cannot be held responsible for delivery failures during that outage.
12. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Bangladeshi law:
- Jobab's total liability for any claim arising from the Service is limited to the amount you paid Jobab in the 3 months preceding the claim
- Jobab is not liable for indirect, consequential, or punitive damages (lost profits, lost data, business interruption beyond the limit above)
This limitation does not apply to (a) gross negligence, (b) wilful misconduct, or (c) liabilities that cannot be limited under applicable law.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Jobab harmless from claims arising out of:
- Your products or services sold via the Service
- Your customers' disputes with you
- Your violation of these Terms or any applicable law
- Your violation of Meta's Platform Terms
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms occasionally. Material changes will be emailed to your account at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
The current version is always at this URL with the "Last updated" date at the top.
15. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of Bangladesh. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of Dhaka, Bangladesh, unless we mutually agree to arbitration.
For EU / UK users (if any): nothing in these Terms removes your mandatory consumer rights.
